Town of Cornwall Wastewater Treatment Facility

Background
The Town of Cornwall is seeking qualifications from experienced and qualified firms to design, permit, engineer, construct, and commission a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system for wastewater treatment. This project aims to treat approximately 15,000 gallons per day (GPD) of wastewater collected from the Village of West Cornwall. The treated wastewater will be discharged into the Housatonic River, ensuring that the effluent meets all regulatory discharge requirements while maintaining system reliability and long-term performance.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: design, permitting, engineering, construction, and commissioning of a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system with a capacity of approximately 15,000 GPD. The project must ensure high-quality effluent that complies with all regulatory discharge requirements. The contractor must demonstrate experience in similar projects and provide evidence of their capability to complete the project on time and within budget.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence on April 09, 2025, and conclude by May 14, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the Town of Cornwall, Connecticut.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must have an office located within one day's drive from the project site and be registered/licensed to do business in Connecticut. They must employ licensed professional engineers and licensed wastewater operators with at least 10 years of experience in MBR systems. Additionally, bidders should have completed at least three similar projects within the last 15 years and demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations.
