Description

The project consists of rehabilitating the full Runway 5-23, the intersection of Runway 5- 23/Runway 15-33 and stub taxiways (Taxiway C, D, & E) pavements to past the hold position markings, airfield lighting, and airfield signs. The project work will include: pavement milling; underlying surface preparations (i.e. crack repairs); new surface pavement; pavement grooving; airfield electrical work with new elevated and in-pavement runway and taxiway edge lights, elevated runway end and threshold lights replacement; new distance-to-go and guidance signs, two new regulators in the electrical vault, new conduit and new cable; relocation and installation of a new wind cone and segmental circle; existing drainage structure rehabilitation; pavement marking; transplanting of rare species plants for impacted areas; restoration of growth for disturbed areas; and other minor miscellaneous items.
Background
