Meadow Street Park Miyawaki Forest Design and Installation

Background
The Norwalk River Watershed Association (NRWA), in collaboration with the Norwalk Recreation and Parks Department, is seeking a landscape design company with significant experience in installing Miyawaki forests, also known as micro forests.

The goal of this contract is to design, oversee the installation, and maintain one Miyawaki forest at Meadow Street Park located at 49 Meadow Street, Norwalk, CT. This project is funded through the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s (DEEP) Urban Forest Equity Grant Program.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Design of the Miyawaki forest at Meadow Street Park.
2. Overseeing the installation of the forest, ensuring that all aspects meet the specified requirements outlined in Section 2 Scope of Work/Project Specifications and Attachment A.
3. Maintenance of the Miyawaki forest post-installation to ensure its health and sustainability.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence on October 2, 2024, and conclude by October 23, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Meadow Street Park, located at 49 Meadow Street, Norwalk, CT.
