Hvac Renovations - Silas Deane Middle School

Background
The Town of Wethersfield is seeking proposals from qualified Mechanical Contractors to provide construction services for HVAC renovations at Silas Deane Middle School. The goal of this contract is to install mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (M/E/P) systems and associated structural work to support a new chiller plant and a new heating ventilation and air conditioning system for the gymnasium.

This project aligns with the Town's mission to improve educational facilities and ensure a comfortable environment for students.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Installation of M/E/P systems to accommodate a new chiller plant.
2. Installation of a new heating ventilation and air conditioning system servicing the gymnasium.
3. Demolition of the existing screen wall and concrete pad.
4. Site work to accommodate a new retaining wall and masonry screen wall.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 30, 2025, and is expected to conclude by February 27, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Silas Deane Middle School located in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
