On-Call Towing Contract

Background
The City of Montrose is seeking qualified towing contractors to provide On-Call vehicle towing services. The goal of this contract is to ensure timely and efficient towing services for various types of vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, and recreational vehicles, as part of the city's public safety and operational needs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-call towing services 24 hours a day, responding within thirty minutes. Services include:
- Towing of passenger cars, trucks, semi-tractor/trailers, recreational vehicles, and motorcycles.
- Impound and storage services.
- Flagging.
- Rollback services.
- The ability to store all towed vehicles.

The contractor must have required licenses and secure impound/storage facilities within or near city limits. Pricing includes a 'Base Rate' for towing within city limits with additional charges for distances outside city limits. Specific provisions include:
- Vehicles seized as evidence will be stored at designated locations at the city's expense.
- The contractor must ensure cleanup of debris from accidents.
- Indoor storage must be available for selected vehicles at the city's request.
- The contractor will tow junked training vehicles for the police department at a discounted rate.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue as needed based on the city's requirements.
