This project includes structurally rehabilitating Tisdale Weir, establishing fish passage and related components, and completing site improvements. Structural rehabilitation includes removal and replacement of both the north and south abutments, weir sill resurfacing, structural grouting, and energy dissipation removal and replacement. Fish passage components include constructing a weir notch with operable Obermeyer gates, connection channel to the Sacramento River, fish collection and energy dissipation basin, and controls building. Site improvements include utility pole relocation, an elevated equipment access pad, permanent equipment access ramps, bank scour protection and Sutter County coordination. Background

Work Details
The project includes the following principal features:
1. Demolish existing north abutment, notch structure portion of the weir, south abutment, and energy dissipation basin.
2. Construct concrete abutments and retaining walls.
3. Install helical piles to support the new energy dissipation basin.
4. Construct energy dissipation basin concrete slab and fish collection basin.
5. Repair and grout existing cracks of concrete weir surface.
6. Construct pile foundations of gate structure and walls.
7. Construct fish passage notch structure with a bottom hinged gate.
8. Excavate and construct concrete connection channel between the Sacramento River and the gated notch structure.
9. Place rock slope protection and structural grouting of rock slope protection.
10. Construct concrete maintenance road for access to connection channel and equipment pad.
11. Construct Control Building with security fencing and gates, install water tank for fire suppression, paved asphalt road for access, electrical, mechanical, communications, and controls systems.
