Background
The Well Replacement - Phase II - Thermalito Afterbay Dam project will replace the remaining six wells of the Thermalito groundwater relief pumps/wells system (originally installed between 1968 to 1969). The estimated cost for this project is $3,150,000 - $3,600,000. Bid Documents for this project have been deemed Critical Energy Infrastructure information (CEII) by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The contractor's license classification(s) for this work are C-57 or A with C-57 Subcontractor.

Work Details
The work includes mobilization/demobilization of drill rig and associated equipment, grading the area around the wells, replacing all existing wells with new seepage wells of various depths, installing and removing test pumps and ancillary equipment, performing well development including surge block, airlifting, and swabbing, pumping and surging, performing aquifer performance testing, furnishing, installing, and testing the new pump-motor units and ancillary equipment, converting all existing wells to be replaced under this contract into groundwater monitoring well stations, coordinating service with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), performing full construction and installation of the new pad, pump, and pump control panel including installation of site grounding, conduit and wires. Demolishing the existing equipment, pad, conduit, and wires. Seeding disturbed areas and performing a 120-day maintenance period. Quantities of work, materials, and equipment required for completion of the work are specified in Document 00410 – Bid Schedule.
