Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for Scale Maintenance Services at multiple locations. The CHP's mission is to ensure safety and security on California's highways. This contract aims to maintain the accuracy and functionality of scales used in their operations. Work Details
The contractor will provide Scale Maintenance Services as detailed in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work,' included in the Proposed Agreement Forms/Exhibits section of the IFB. This includes regular maintenance, calibration, and repair services for scales located at various CHP sites. Bidders must address all services described in Exhibit A when submitting their bids. The CHP intends to award a single agreement for each location to the responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest bid.

Period of Performance
The term of the resulting agreement is expected to be effective from July 01, 2025, or upon approval, whichever is later, through June 30, 2028. Extensions may occur based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at multiple CHP locations across California as specified in the IFB. Specific addresses for mandatory walk-throughs include:
- Murphy (WB State Route 50)
- Donner Pass (12800 Interstate 80)
- Camino (WB US 50)
- Antelope (EB/WB I-80).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a Contractor State License Board (CSLB) C61/D21 license, a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to the National Bureau of Standards, registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), and a local County/City Business License. Additionally, bidders must certify compliance with all terms outlined in section N of the IFB and provide proof of liability insurance meeting specified requirements before agreement execution.
