Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) # 04A7052 for Routine and Non-Routine Automatic Overhead Door Maintenance, Automatic Gates, and Automatic Gate Arm Maintenance Repair Services.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, personnel, travel, supervision of personnel, pay all taxes, insurance, license, permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide routine semiannual maintenance and non-routine repair services at Caltrans Maintenance Facilities.
Specific services include:
1. Semiannual maintenance for 240 automatic doors at the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge Maintenance Yard over three years.
2. Semiannual maintenance for 60 automatic doors at the Tri Bridge Maintenance Yard over three years.
3. Semiannual maintenance for 30 automatic doors at the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge Maintenance Yard over three years.
4. Semiannual maintenance for 18 automatic doors at the Dumbarton Bridge.
5. Semiannual maintenance for 24 automatic doors at the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge W/B 80 (Toll Plaza/Tow Service).
6. Semiannual maintenance for 12 automatic doors at the San Mateo/Hayward Bridge Maintenance Building.
7. Semiannual maintenance for 18 automatic doors at the Benicia/Martinez Bridge Toll Plaza.
8. Semiannual maintenance for 18 automatic doors at the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge Firehouse (Treasure Island).

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three years with semiannual services scheduled throughout this timeframe.
