RFP: On-Call Professional Communications and Public Relations Services

Background
The County of Lake is inviting proposals for On-Call Professional Communications and Public Relations Services.
The purpose of this contract is to provide enhanced and targeted communications services for specific initiatives that arise, which may include the development of strategic communications plans and public-facing informational materials related to significant areas of countywide interest.

Work Details
The services to be provided under this contract may include:
- Consultation and support in defining means of communication and targeting distribution of County communications to achieve specific objectives, including deliverables such as a targeted communications plan, development of graphics, digital and/or printable materials, and written documents. Proposers should provide hourly or monthly rates for these services.
- Research into specified County issues of concern and preparation of relevant materials.
- Photography/collection of images for use in County communications materials, with the understanding that all images produced under this contract will be the property of the County of Lake.
- Development of scripted and unscripted video, graphics, and other visual content, both independently and in collaboration with County staff.
- Consultation and services surrounding public and media relations, including strategic placement of developed materials and promoting public understanding on specific key issues.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be defined by project-specific agreements as needed; special projects may span multiple months.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of Lake County, California.
