Rfp - Hazard Mitigation Planning Consultant
Background
The County of San Diego, through its Office of Emergency Services, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide consulting services for the update of the San Diego County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the County's preparedness and response capabilities in the face of natural and human-caused hazards, ensuring compliance with current FEMA requirements.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
1. Updating the existing Hazard Mitigation Plan to reflect current risks and vulnerabilities.
2. Conducting a comprehensive review of existing plans and data related to hazard mitigation.
3. Engaging with stakeholders through meetings and workshops to gather input and feedback.
4. Utilizing desktop and web GIS tools for analysis and mapping of hazards.
5. Developing a prioritized list of mitigation actions based on stakeholder input and best practices in hazard mitigation planning.
6. Preparing a final report that meets FEMA standards for approval.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract term is an initial base period of two (2) years, starting from the date of contract execution.

Place of Performance
The services will primarily be performed in San Diego County, California.
