Background
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to support the Biomonitoring California program. This program is a legislative initiative aimed at understanding chemical exposure in the state population through biomonitoring, which involves measuring chemicals in biological samples.

The Environmental Health Investigations Branch is specifically looking for a contractor to evaluate new program materials, develop guidance for clinicians regarding perfluoro and polyfluoro alkyl substances (PFASs), identify emerging chemicals of concern, and assist with strategic planning efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Evaluating new program materials in collaboration with stakeholders and community partners.
- Developing and producing California-specific guidance for clinicians managing patients exposed to PFASs.
- Identifying emerging chemicals of concern that can be measured in biological materials and evaluating laboratory methods related to these chemicals.
- Supporting strategic planning efforts for Biomonitoring California, which includes community outreach, participant recruitment, sample collection, and management.

Period of Performance
The contract term is expected to begin on December 3rd, 2024, or upon final approval from the Department of General Services (DGS), and will run until June 30th, 2026. There is an option to extend the contract for an additional year based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
The services will primarily be performed within the State of California.
