Rental, Trench Plates (Steel) and Hydraulic Shoring

Background
The Harbor Department of the City of Los Angeles is seeking bids for the rental of trench plates (steel) and hydraulic shoring. This contract aims to support the department's operational needs by providing essential equipment for construction and maintenance activities within the harbor area.

Work Details
The contractor will provide rental services for the following items:

1. **Trench Plates (Steel)** - Rental includes various sizes:
- 1 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft.
- 1 in. x 6 ft. x 10 ft.
- 1-1/2 in. x 6 ft. x 10 ft.
- 1 in. x 8 ft. x 10 ft.
- Additional sizes may be requested as needed.

2. **Hydraulic Shoring** - Rental includes sizes available in:
- Rails of 3-1/2 ft., 5 ft., and 7 ft.
- Trench widths ranging from 25” to 97” with weekly and monthly rental rates specified.

3. **Shoring Tools** - Includes pumps, release tools, and lifting equipment available for rent on a weekly or monthly basis.

4. **Trench Boxes (Flex-Shield)** - Various sizes made from steel and aluminum, including:
- Steel: 8’ x 6’, 4’ x 8’, etc.
- Aluminum: similar dimensions as steel options.

5. **Manhole Box** - Standard size of 8’ x 8’ x 8’ available for rent.

6. **Track Clean** - Equipment for track cleaning available on a daily, weekly, or four-week basis.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for one year from the date of execution, with options to extend for additional years based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
All deliveries and services will be performed within the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles Harbor Department, specifically in San Pedro, Wilmington, and Terminal Island Districts.
