Ramona AAB Fire Suppressant Loading System and Pit Replacement

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking a contractor to provide services for the Fire Suppressant Loading System and Pit Replacement at the Ramona Air Attack Base.
The goal of this contract is to enhance fire suppression capabilities by replacing outdated systems with modern infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary for the following tasks:
1. Demolish existing pavement, plumbing, electrical, and low-voltage control systems.
2. Construct new pavement, plumbing, and electrical systems including utility connections.
3. Coordinate with local utility service providers to construct new trench systems with utility lines to the new loading pit.
4. Construct a new equipment pad and utility hookups for new retardant mixing equipment and low-voltage control systems.
5. Ensure compliance with local authorities regarding construction times and access to taxiways.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on April 1, 2025 (EST) or upon approval by the California Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, and will expire on March 31, 2027 (EST).

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at CAL FIRE-Ramona Air Attack Base located at 2498 Montecito Road, Ramona, CA 92065.
