P2499014 - Mojave River Hatchery State Owned Housing Rehab

Background
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is issuing this solicitation for the rehabilitation of state-owned housing units at the Mojave River Hatchery. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary renovations to improve living conditions for staff and enhance operational efficiency at the facility. The project involves comprehensive rehabilitation work on multiple housing units, ensuring compliance with state standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals, permits, and taxes necessary to rehabilitate the following state-owned housing units: R6-59, R6-60, R6-62, R6-71, R6-72, R6-108, and R6-61 Garage.

The work includes but is not limited to structural repairs, interior renovations, plumbing upgrades, electrical work, and any other miscellaneous tasks required for complete rehabilitation as per the specifications outlined in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is expected to commence upon award and completion within a specified timeframe as detailed in the solicitation documents.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Mojave River Hatchery located at 12550 Jacaranda Ave., Victorville, CA 92395.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid California contractor's license type A or B. Participation in the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Program (DVBE) is required with a minimum participation goal of 3%.

Bidders must also comply with Small Business Preference requirements by subcontracting at least 25% of their total bid amount to certified small businesses. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) for public works projects exceeding $25,000.
