The City of Ventura is seeking proposals for the Maintenance Assessment District (MAD) Stormwater Maintenance project. This initiative aims to assist with the inspection, maintenance, and replacement of post-construction stormwater quality treatment devices throughout the city. The MADs are established by property owners or developers to enhance community infrastructure, including drainage and water quality treatment.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and replacing stormwater treatment devices across various MADs. Specific tasks include:
- Inspection and maintenance of devices such as catch basin inserts, cartridge media filters, continuous deflection separators, and underground retention systems.
- Maintenance must follow manufacturer specifications and local regulations.
- The contractor must provide all necessary tools, materials, equipment, and labor for the work.
- The project includes a detailed list of MADs with their respective device information, including sizes and types of treatment devices. For example:
- MAD 4: Sycamore Village - 26 acres - Catch basin inserts.
- MAD 8: Greystone/Henderson Ranch - 36 acres - Cartridge media filters.
- MAD 20: Aldea Hermosa - 7 acres - Connector pipe screen and wet well with lift/pump station.
Period of Performance
The contract is set to commence on July 1, 2025, for a duration of two years, with an option for three one-year extensions based on performance.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various locations throughout the City of Ventura as specified in the contract documents.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a State of California Contractor’s License Classification A (General Engineering Contractor). They are also required to comply with prevailing wage laws and may need to provide proof of insurance as outlined in the General Services Agreement. Subcontracting is permitted only with prior written consent from the City.
