Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #03A3851 to solicit contractors for the positive location of underground utility facilities across multiple counties including Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, traffic control measures including standard signage, travel expenses, and any other incidentals required for the positive location of underground utility facilities.

This contract is structured as an on-call and as-needed service request based Multiple-Provider Agreement. Bidders must possess a valid Class A (General Engineering Contractor) or C-12 (Earthwork and Paving Contractor) license from the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Additionally, subcontractors must hold a valid C-31 (Construction Zone Traffic Control Contractor) license.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue until all services are completed as specified in the agreement. The estimated timeline for bid submission is from October 4, 2024 to October 24, 2024.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed across various counties in California: Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba.
