IFB No. 114656 Midtown Card Access Control Installation

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB No. 114656) for the installation and upgrade of access control systems at their facility located at 5009 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820.
The goal of this contract is to enhance security by replacing existing keypads with card readers and upgrading exterior door access systems as part of the EDD's commitment to maintaining a secure environment.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:
1. Remove 6 interior door access keypads and replace them with 6 new card readers that will integrate into the existing access control system.
2. Upgrade or replace 6 exterior door access card readers with new units.
3. Provide all necessary equipment, materials, and labor to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and all applicable laws.
4. Conduct system startup, testing, and inspection to verify operational integrity.
5. Dispose of old equipment and debris from the site responsibly.
6. Ensure precautions are taken to prevent damage to the facility during installation.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from May 1, 2025, through June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the EDD facility located at 5009 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid C-7, C-10, C-28, or D-28 State Contractor’s License. The contractor must comply with all local ordinances and state and federal laws regarding labor on public buildings. Additionally, bidders are required to submit various forms including a Cost Proposal, Bidder Declaration, Contractor Certification Clauses, and others as specified in the bid package.
