IFB No. 101966 Monthly Landscaping and "As Needed" Repair Services

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is seeking bids for Monthly Landscaping and 'As Needed' Repair Services at their facility located at 1550 W. Main Street, El Centro, CA 92243.

The goal of this contract is to maintain the landscaping and provide necessary repairs to ensure the facility remains in optimal condition. This contract is part of EDD's commitment to maintaining a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for its employees and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services: monthly landscaping maintenance including weeding, fertilizing, pruning, and cultivating plants; keeping planted areas neat and free of debris; removing weeds from sidewalks and parking lots; conducting inspections related to repair work orders; consulting on methods to achieve intended results; identifying safety hazards or faulty equipment; and performing repairs typically not exceeding two workdays per task.

The contractor must comply with all state, EDD, and local policies while on the premises. Specific tasks include:
- Monthly maintenance of lawns including mowing, edging, and trimming around decorative features.
- Weekly watering of planted areas as needed, with deep watering for trees during the growing season.
- Maintenance of irrigation systems including monthly checks for proper operation.
- Seasonal fertilization of lawns and plants as specified.
- Removal of foreign materials from planted areas and sidewalks as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on February 1, 2025, and will continue through June 30, 2027.

All services will be performed at the EDD facility located at 1550 W. Main Street, El Centro, CA 92243.
