IFB # C25-33024 Grease Trap Service and Repair (Sacramento County)

Background
The State of California's Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #C25-33024 for Grease Trap Service and Repair.

The DOR's Business Enterprises Program (BEP) aims to provide training, licensure, and self-employment opportunities for persons who are legally blind in managing food service and vending facilities. This contract supports these individuals by ensuring the proper maintenance of equipment used in these facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide grease trap service and repair, which includes evaluating problems, consulting with the Business Enterprise Consultant (BEC), and performing necessary repairs on grease traps.

The contractor must have a Rendering License to transport animal byproducts and inedible kitchen grease, operate from a commercial shop within specified counties, and ensure that personnel are certified in maintenance of grease traps. Additionally, the contractor must be registered as a transporter of inedible kitchen grease in compliance with California Food and Agricultural Codes.

Proof of current insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, and Workers' Compensation is also required.

Period of Performance
The contract period is anticipated to commence on July 1, 2025, or upon approval (whichever is later), and will run through June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within Sacramento County.
