Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for HVAC Installation and Replacement Services for five new units at the CHP Templeton Area Office. The CHP's mission is to provide safety, service, and security to the public. This contract aims to enhance their operational capabilities through improved HVAC systems. This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is open to all eligible firms that meet the qualification requirements outlined in the solicitation.

Work Details
The contractor will provide HVAC installation and replacement services for five new units as specified in Exhibit A entitled 'Scope of Work.' This includes all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to complete the installation and replacement of the HVAC systems. The contractor must hold a valid Contractor State License Board (CSLB) C-20 license for Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning, as well as a local county or city business license. Additionally, bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1770, 1773, and 1773.1. There is a mandatory participation requirement for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) of at least 5%. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements as determined by DIR.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is from April 1, 2025, or upon approval by the Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, through March 31, 2026. The term may be extended based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the CHP Templeton Area Office located at 101 Duncan Road, Templeton, CA 93465.
