IFB 24C656000 CHP Desert Hills CVEF - Bay Door Maintenance

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking maintenance services for the Bay Doors at the Desert Hills Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF). The services are to be provided in accordance with the terms set forth in the agreement, including all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision. The contractor is required to have a valid Contractors State License Board C-61/D-28 Doors, Gates and Activating Devices and a local business license.
The services will be performed at the Desert Hills CVEF Northbound and Southbound locations.

Work Details
The maintenance service includes lubricating all points of friction, ensuring the doors are balanced, inspecting and testing all door functions, providing necessary supplies such as belts, cleaning chemicals, oil, grease, cleaning rags, switches and fuses. Additionally, pressure-washing of all inspection bay doors is required quarterly.
There are no monies in this contract for miscellaneous repairs. The contractor must provide a legible, detailed proposal for any repairs needed during routine maintenance. The contractor also unconditionally guarantees that the work will be done in accordance with the requirements of the contract and remain free of defects in workmanship for a period of one year and materials for a period of 90 days from the date of acceptance unless a longer guarantee period is specifically called for.

Period of Performance
The services shall be provided during normal working hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding State holidays. The contract guarantees the work to be free of defects in workmanship for one year and materials for 90 days from the date of acceptance.

The services will be performed at the Desert Hills CVEF Northbound and Southbound locations: 47250 Interstate 10, Banning, CA 92220.
