The services shall be performed at Caltrans District 4 Office, located at 111 Grand Avenue, 16th Floor, Oakland, CA 94612, within Alameda County.
Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) 04A7141 for roof replacement services at their District 4 Office located in Oakland, CA.

The mission of Caltrans is to provide a safe, sustainable, integrated, and efficient transportation system to enhance California’s economy and livability. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roofing system to ensure the integrity and functionality of the building.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, travel, parts, supplies, applicable permits, and incidentals necessary to complete the following tasks:

1. Remove and legally dispose of the existing lower roofing system, insulation, rain gutters, downspouts, and roof drains.
2. Furnish, prepare, and install a new Single Ply Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) roof system including insulation rated at R-49 or R-30 combined with top floor attic space insulation to meet or exceed an R-30 insulation value above the top 12th office building roof support structure.
3. Install new Polyisocyanurate rigid insulation and ensure that the installation of the top Single Ply PVC membrane is performed by experienced crews following manufacturer guidelines.
4. Reinstall all aggregate removed during demolition back to its original location after completion of the new roof system.
5. Replace existing complete drain assembly including bowls for primary and secondary drains on the roof as specified in Attachment 4, Exhibit A.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and will be performed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the IFB timeline which includes a bid submission due date extended to April 8, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Caltrans District 4 Office located at 111 Grand Avenue, 16th Floor, Oakland, CA 94612 within Alameda County.
