HVAC Services in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking HVAC services in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The purpose of the contract is to maintain, repair, and restore HVAC systems on Caltrans-owned properties. The agency is committed to meeting the State’s twenty-five percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal and encourages the participation of small businesses, disadvantaged businesses, disabled veteran businesses, and other businesses covered by State and Federal programs and preferences.
The contract also requires Prevailing Wages if the total bid amount exceeds $15,000.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide labor, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, parts, permits, supplies, travel, disposal/recycling of waste, and incidentals required to maintain, repair, and restore HVAC systems on Caltrans-owned properties. The total bid proposal for this Agreement must not exceed $461,000.00.
Bid prices/rates shall include various costs such as employer payments to employees, subsistence, travel, insurance premiums, taxes or assessments. The contract also includes requirements related to employment of undocumented workers, small business preference, state general prevailing wage rates for San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, mandatory organic waste recycling compliance, motor carrier permit requirements, contractor registration program with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), contractor’s license requirements (C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning license), subcontractor requirements and standard Title VI/Nondiscrimination assurances.

Period of Performance
The IFB is available to prospective bidders from May 15th 2024. The final date for bid submission is May 30th 2024 with a proposed award date estimated to be June 6th 2024.

The geographic location for the performance of the contract is in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
