Heating Boiler System Maintenance and Repair Services in El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, and Sierra Counties

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance and repair services for heating boiler systems. This contract is part of their mission to ensure the operational efficiency of state-owned properties and facilities in District 03, which includes El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, and Sierra Counties. The goal is to maintain hot water and condensing boiler systems at various Caltrans owned properties.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, travel, and incidentals necessary for the troubleshooting, servicing, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of hot water and condensing boiler systems, related components, and heated hydronic concrete pads at various Caltrans owned properties in District 03. Specific services include:

1. Non-routine troubleshooting and repair of boiler systems (900 hours estimated).
2. Annual routine preventative maintenance at various locations (3 annual services).
3. Maximum allowable expenditure for materials, supplies, parts, fees, and permits as per Exhibit A.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 15, 2025 (estimate) and will expire on June 14, 2028 (estimate).

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various Caltrans locations throughout El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, and Sierra Counties including but not limited to:
- California Highway Patrol in Truckee
- Downieville Maintenance Station
- Kingvale Maintenance Station
- Kyburz Maintenance Station
- Sierraville Maintenance Station
- South Lake Tahoe Maintenance Station
- Tahoe City Maintenance Station
- Truckee Maintenance Station
- Whitmore Maintenance Station.
