Background
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is responsible for overseeing the coordination and delivery of services and supports to over 40,000 Californians with developmental disabilities. DDS aims to provide equal access to its programs, services, and activities for individuals with limited-English proficiency as mandated by various laws including the Dymally-Alatorre Bilingual Services Act and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The goal of this contract is to ensure effective communication through translation and interpretation services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following services on an as-needed basis: written translation, oral interpretation, telephonic interpretation, captioning, and transcription services for DDS. Services will be provided to individuals and groups of varying sizes at various locations throughout California or virtually as specified by DDS.

All service providers must adhere to the 'Code of Ethics, Professional Conduct, and Confidentiality' outlined in Attachment A to Exhibit A.

Period of Performance
The term of the Agreement will commence on September 3, 2024, or upon full execution of the agreement, whichever is later, and will continue through September 2, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout California or virtually as specified by DDS.
