This RFP is to solicit competitive proposals from experienced and qualified laboratories to provide laboratory technical and analytical support services for the Industrial Hygiene and Safety Program within the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). DOSH is seeking one full service laboratory accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Laboratory Accreditation Program to analyze samples collected in the course of DOSH s activities. The full service laboratory must be proficient in analyzing all categories of analytes under the AIHA Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) Program. The awarded contractor will provide analytical and consultative laboratory services.
Background
The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), specifically the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), is seeking proposals from qualified laboratories to provide technical and analytical support services for their Industrial Hygiene and Safety Program.

The goal is to engage a full-service laboratory accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) to analyze samples collected during DOSH activities, ensuring proficiency in all analytes under the AIHA Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) Program.

This contract aims to enhance the capabilities of DIR's safety engineers and industrial hygienists in enforcing occupational safety regulations in California.

Work Details
The contractor will provide laboratory technical and analytical support services, including but not limited to:
1. Analyzing air, wipe, and bulk samples collected by DIR personnel;
2. Providing necessary media, methodology, and materials for sample collection;
3. Completing chain of custody forms and delivering analytical results via email within specified timeframes (10 working days for routine samples, 24 hours for 24-hour samples);
4. Sending hard copy reports by mail;
5. Offering emergency laboratory services during non-business hours;
6. Monthly summaries of sample analytical activities;
7. Providing sampling media and shipping containers as needed without additional charges;
8. Ensuring quality assurance through quarterly reports on accuracy, bias, precision, acceptance limits, and control charts.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to last for thirty-six (36) months from the date of execution.

The services will be performed within California.
