Background
The City and County of San Francisco, through its Recreation and Park Department, is seeking quotes for the Sport Court Repairs Project (CON25-0024). The project aims to resurface sport courts at Aptos Playground in San Francisco, California. The total cost estimate for this project is $117,000.

Work Details
The scope of work includes resurfacing approximately 7,250 square feet of an existing tennis court by cleaning and leveling the surfaces and installing new colored playing surfaces and lines. Specific tasks include:

- Demolishing one net and two posts;
- Furnishing and installing two new posts, one center tiedown mount, and one new net;
- Ensuring tennis line dimensions conform to American Sports Builder Association Standards for a 78’ court;
- Matching colors with other SF RPD courts (blue for the tennis court, green for out of bounds, white for playing lines);
- Clearing debris from drains;
- Performing flood tests and catch basin drainage tests.

The contractor must also follow general specifications for court resurfacing which include cleaning existing surfaces, identifying low areas, filling cracks, applying base coats of acrylic mixed with sand, and leveling the surface using a double straight edge course method. All waste must be disposed off-site by the contractor in compliance with San Francisco’s Mandatory Recycling and Compost Ordinance.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 60 calendar days from the notice to proceed until substantial completion, followed by an additional 15 calendar days until final completion.

The work will take place at Aptos Playground located at 147 Aptos Avenue, San Francisco, CA.
