NOTICE INVITING BIDS Bid Number: CSUB-RFP-00000659 Project Description: In general, the scope of work is for the Contractor to provide labor, supplies and equipment to perform custodial services for eleven (11) buildings at the main campus at California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) in accordance with the specifications provided. The length of the contract for three (3) years with a possible extension of (3) three one-year options to renew. Contractor to provide fourteen (14) custodians and one (1) Acting Lead/Supervisor to assist the University with general cleaning and disinfecting. MANDATORY Pre-bid Job Walk: Wednesday, March 12, 2025 a t 9:00 A.M. (PST) at the CSUB Facilities Management Office, Building # 37, https://maps.csub.edu Questions Submission Deadline: Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. (PST) Bid Due Date: Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. (PST) Bid submittal must be submitted electronically via CSUBUY (Jaggaer/P2P). IMPORTANT: Representatives should be limited to two (2) per company. Scoping documents, specifications, and other project/contract related documents will be available electronically after the Mandatory Bidders Site Walk. Please be sure to sign-in with your name and company email address to receive access to the Bid. Prospective bidders are required to attend this bidder's conference and site walk at the scheduled date and time to be eligible to submit a bid on this RFP. This conference may be the only time proposers can walk through the project area, raising questions or requesting clarifications. Afterwards, all other requests or clarifications shall be submitted in writing. A parking permit will be required to park in any campus parking lot. Permits can be purchased for $6.00 from any ticket dispenser on campus. Please place the parking permit prominently in windshield. Background
The California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) is seeking a contractor to provide custodial services for its main campus. The goal of this contract is to ensure that eleven buildings on the campus are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, supporting the university's mission of providing a conducive learning environment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide labor, supplies, and equipment necessary for custodial services across eleven buildings at CSUB. The scope includes:
- Staffing with fourteen custodians and one Acting Lead/Supervisor.
- General cleaning and disinfecting tasks in classrooms, offices, restrooms, lobbies/entryways, stairwells, and hallways.
- Provision of all cleaning supplies, chemicals, equipment, tools, and materials required for the tasks.
- Compliance with specific cleaning schedules agreed upon with CSUB to avoid disruption of university activities.
- Adherence to a maximum cleaning area of 26,500 square feet per day per custodian, totaling no more than 397,500 square feet per day for all staff combined.
- Support during regular and summer schedules with specified shift times.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is three years with an option to extend for three additional one-year periods upon written notice at least thirty days prior to the expiration of the current contract period.

Place of Performance
The custodial services will be performed at the California State University, Bakersfield main campus located at 9001 Stockdale Highway, Bakersfield, CA 93311.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be State of California Department of General Services Certified Small Business Enterprise General Contractors and licensed in the State of California. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid job walk is required for eligibility to submit a bid.
