Background
The Department of General Services (DGS), Facilities Management Division (FMD), Direct Construction Unit (DCU) of the State of California is seeking bids for crane services. The purpose of this contract is to facilitate the on-roof removal and placement of an air handler and two chillers, which are essential for maintaining state buildings and grounds as authorized under Government Code Section 14685(a).

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for crane services, specifically for the removal and replacement of one (1) air handler and two (2) chillers. This includes:

- Removal of two (2) chiller units weighing approximately 8,000 lbs each from roof mounts over a 137-foot parapet wall.
- Placement of two (2) new chiller units onto the roof.
- Removal of one (1) air handler unit weighing approximately 5,000 lbs from roof mounts over a 137-foot parapet wall.
- Placement of one (1) new air handler unit onto the roof.
- Transportation and disposal services for the old units, with receipts provided upon invoicing.

The work will be performed at the San Diego State Building located at 7183 Opportunity Road, San Diego, CA 92111.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term for this agreement is six months from the date of contract award.
