Citywide Pools & Splash Pads Maintenance 2025

Background
The City of Glendale, through its Community Services & Parks Department, is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the maintenance of citywide pools and splash pads. The goal of the contract is to ensure that these facilities are well-maintained and provide high levels of customer satisfaction. The City seeks a qualified contractor with demonstrated experience in pool maintenance.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for performing maintenance services at assigned locations, which include:
- Regular cleaning and chemical balancing of pool water.
- Inspection and maintenance of pool equipment including filters, heaters, and controllers.
- Repairing any identified issues with pool infrastructure.
- Adhering to the specifications outlined in Exhibit A and the Services Time Schedule in Exhibit B.

The contractor must have a minimum of three senior technicians with relevant certifications (CPO or AFO) and at least five years of experience in commercial pool maintenance. No subcontracting is permitted; the contractor must perform all services directly.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on March 1, 2025, and will last for three years until February 29, 2028, with an option for two additional one-year extensions upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various city-owned pools and splash pads located throughout Glendale, California.
