Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids for Bay Door Maintenance Services under Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number 24C860005. The CHP's mission includes ensuring the safety and security of California's highways. This contract aims to maintain the operational integrity of the Cajon Platform Scales, with the goal of awarding a single agreement to the responsive and responsible firm that offers the lowest bid.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Bay Door Maintenance Services as outlined in Exhibit A of the IFB. This includes regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance of bay doors at the Cajon Platform Scales facility. Specific tasks may involve lubrication, adjustment, replacement of worn parts, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Bidders must possess a California State License Board license: C-61 / D28 - DOORS, GATES AND ACTIVATING DEVICES. Additionally, bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as per California Labor Code Sections 1770, 1773, and 1773.1.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this agreement is from November 1, 2024, through October 31, 2027. The term may be extended based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Cajon Platform Scales located at Northbound I-15 (1/4 mile south of State Route 138), Phelan, CA 92371.
