Background
The County of Los Angeles Fire Department is seeking bids for a heavy-duty cleaning machine, specifically the Meiko TopClean D Decon Washer. This equipment is essential for adhering to NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards for rescue services, aimed at the effective cleaning of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), helmets, boots, and gloves.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the Fire Department has access to reliable and efficient cleaning equipment that meets industry standards.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of a Meiko TopClean D Decon Washer with the following specifications:
- External dimensions: 70-5/8" H x 40-1/2" W x 35-1/4" D
- Weight: 776 lbs (empty)
- Wash tank volume: 22.45 gallons
- Booster heater volume: 4.14 gallons
- Wash temperature range: 86–140°F
- Rinse temperature range: 86–140°F
- Capacity: Basket for 4 x SCBA including facepiece or equivalent
- Cleaning programs include SCBA, facepieces, helmets (5–30 min), gloves and boots (3 min @ 105°F)
- Power supply requirements include a voltage of 3-phase 208/230V with specific fuse ratings.

Accessories required include:
1. Boot and Glove Holder (Meiko - 9209607)
2. Mask Washing Head Assembly (Meiko - 9209643)
3. Decon Chemical Neutral Rinse (Meiko - 9209592)
4. Mild Alkaline Decon Chemical (Meiko - 9209591).

Additionally, the vendor must provide installation and programming at no extra cost, along with training for County technicians to perform maintenance and repairs.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will commence upon award and is expected to last until all deliverables are fulfilled, with specific timelines for installation and training to be agreed upon during the contracting process.
