Work Details
The work to be performed includes:
- Applying asphalt rubber chip seal, slurry seal, and micro surfacing on city streets.

- Staging & stockpiling

- Temporary traffic control
- Tree trimming by an arborist
- Distressed pavement repair (dig outs)
- Crack sealing
- Slurry seal application (208,763 square yards)
- Micro surfacing (62,053 square yards)
- Asphalt rubber & aggregate membrane application (172,019 square yards)
- Thermoplastic traffic striping and pavement markings
- Adjusting sanitary sewer or storm water manhole frames and covers (22 each)
- Adjusting survey monuments or sanitary sewer lamp hole frames and covers (6 each)
- Installing roadside signs on new posts (4 each)
- Adjusting water valve covers to grade (14 each)
- Removing & replacing traffic loop detectors (17 each).
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period from May 7, 2025, until completion of all specified work.
Place of Performance
The work will be conducted on various streets within the City of San Leandro.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a Class A Contractor's License as required by California law. Additionally, bidders must provide a bid deposit equal to at least 10% of the total bid amount in the form of cash, cashier's check or certified check payable to the City or a bidder's bond executed by an authorized surety company. Bidders are also required to comply with local business participation goals as outlined in Section 1-6-225 of the San Leandro Municipal Code.
