Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) Rincon Fire Station Inspector of Record (IOR) Services, as described herein: Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to provide all inspection services required for the noted construction of the project, including, but not limited to, Division of the State Architect (DSA) essential services facility inspections, and project-applicable codes and regulations. Work shall be performed in accordance with Exhibit A, Detailed Scope of Work.
Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the provision of Inspector of Record (IOR) Services for the Rincon Fire Station project.

The mission of CAL FIRE is to protect the people and resources of California from wildfires and other emergencies. This contract aims to ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant codes and regulations, particularly those set forth by the Division of the State Architect (DSA).

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to deliver inspection services required for the construction project.

This includes essential facility inspections mandated by DSA and adherence to applicable project codes and regulations. Work must be performed according to Exhibit A, which outlines the Detailed Scope of Work.

Period of Performance
The contract period is estimated at 16 months, with an option for three additional six-month extensions at the same service rate.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Rincon Fire Station located in San Diego County, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to do business in California and provide proof of such. They must also have a current DSA certification as an inspector capable of assessing structural, fire/life/safety, and access compliance components.

Bidders are encouraged to participate in programs supporting small businesses and disabled veteran businesses. A minimum of 25% of the net bid price should be subcontracted to certified Small Businesses or Micro Businesses if applicable.
