Background
The County of Los Angeles, through its Department of Public Works, is seeking bids for the procurement and installation of a Standard Flash Backup Appliance. This initiative aims to enhance the county's data backup capabilities, ensuring robust data protection and recovery solutions in alignment with their operational needs.

Work Details
The contract involves the purchase and installation of one Standard Flash Backup Appliance at the LA County Department of Public Works located at 900 S. Fremont Ave., Alhambra, CA 91803. The appliance must support a TCS VMware environment and meet specific functional requirements including:
- 4 x 10-Core x86 2.2 GHz processors
- 256GB DDR4 RAM
- 12 x 4TB HDDs
- 4 x 400GB SSDs
- Dual-Port x 10GbE/25GbE for data and management
- Useable capacity of 30TB with a raw capacity of 48TB
- Features such as dual power supply, hyperconverged backup software, cloud integration, ransomware response team, native immutability, end-to-end encryption, and more.

The appliance must also provide instant recovery capabilities for VMware Hypervisor and allow for granular file-level backups and restores.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will last for a term of three years for hardware maintenance services.

The primary location for performance is at the LA County Department of Public Works, 900 S. Fremont Ave., Alhambra, CA 91803.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in the County’s WebVen system and comply with all specified requirements including providing a complete bid package with all required documentation. Bidders are encouraged to subcontract portions of the work to certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Local Small Business Enterprises (LSBE), Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), Social Enterprises (SE), or Community Business Enterprises (CBE).
