Background
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking contractors for the Communications and Network Upgrades project at the West Valley Occupational Center, located at 6200 Winnetka Avenue, Woodland Hills, CA 91367. This project aims to enhance the infrastructure and upgrade IP-based services, including LAN, WLAN, VoIP telephones, public address systems, cameras, and intrusion alarms. The goal is to improve communication capabilities within the educational facility.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Infrastructure upgrades for IP-based services.
2. Installation of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN).
3. Implementation of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone systems.
4. Upgrading public address (PA) systems.
5. Installation of security cameras and intrusion alarm systems.

The contractor must hold a B - General Building Contractor license. Additionally, C-10 (Electrical) and C-7 (Low-Voltage Systems Contractor) licenses may be required if performing specialty trades.

Period of Performance
The anticipated start date for the Notice to Proceed is January 2025, with substantial completion expected within 290 calendar days after this date. The target for substantial completion is November 2025 and final completion is set for December 2025.

All work will be performed at the West Valley Occupational Center located at 6200 Winnetka Avenue, Woodland Hills, CA 91367.
