24-360 Landscape Cleanup and Maintenance Services

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids for landscape cleanup and maintenance services at the Fremont DMV Field Office. The goal of this contract is to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic quality of the DMV's landscaping, aligning with the agency's mission to provide excellent service to the public.

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is part of a broader initiative to maintain state properties in a manner that reflects their importance to the community.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary for:

1. A one-time landscape cleanup service if needed and authorized by the DMV Project Manager.
2. Bi-weekly landscape maintenance services including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, removing weeds, and ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained. Specific tasks include:
- Mowing lawn areas to a uniform height appropriate for the type of grass.
- Defining edges along sidewalks and driveways.
- Trimming grass in inaccessible areas.
- Removing clippings and debris from hard surfaces.
- Maintaining shrubs at a maximum height of 36 inches and performing skirting to promote airflow.
- Pruning vegetation appropriately to maintain health and appearance.
- Implementing low environmental impact practices using certified materials.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of thirty-six (36) months, commencing on April 1, 2025, or upon contract approval.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Fremont DMV Field Office located at 4287 Central Avenue, Fremont, CA 94536.
