Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to procure mid-day janitorial services for its Daly City Field Office. The contract aims to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for both employees and visitors, aligning with the DMV's commitment to public service. This solicitation is part of the DMV's ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform mid-day janitorial services at the Daly City DMV Field Office located at 1500 Sullivan Avenue, Daly City, CA 94015. Services will be performed between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays. Specific tasks include:

1. Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, sinks, faucets, and restroom fixtures.
2. Maintaining a weekly maintenance log confirming scheduled cleaning tasks.
3. Performing cleaning using appropriate cleaners for various surfaces.
4. Reporting any hazardous conditions or items in need of repair to the DMV Project Manager.
5. Special maintenance areas will be cleaned two times per week as scheduled with the DMV Project Manager.
6. The contractor must provide personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers and ensure all cleaning supplies are approved by the DMV.

Period of Performance
The contract term is for twelve (12) months with an option for the DMV to extend for an additional seven (7) months. The proposed start date of the contract is March 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Daly City DMV Field Office located at 1500 Sullivan Avenue, Daly City, CA 94015.
