24-188 Parking Lot Sweeping and Steam Cleaning/Pressure Washing Services at the Reedley DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids for parking lot sweeping and steam cleaning/pressure washing services at the Reedley DMV Field Office. This contract aims to maintain cleanliness and safety in the parking lot area, which is approximately 84,252 square feet.

The contract is set for a term of thirty-six (36) months, with the goal of providing regular maintenance services to enhance the facility's appearance and functionality.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform the following services:
1. **Parking Lot Sweeping**: Conducted three times per week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) during non-business hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM). The contractor must utilize truck-mounted equipment and cover all paved surfaces including corners, behind car stops, around trash dumpsters, sidewalks adjacent to the building, doorways, entryways, alcoves, and under trees. Additional duties include removing oil spills using environmentally safe absorbents and manually picking up trash around receptacles.

2. **Paved Surface Area Pressure Washing/Steam Cleaning**: Performed once a month on the second weekend between Saturday at 12:00 AM to Sunday at 10:00 PM or during business hours as per city ordinance. Areas to be cleaned include sidewalks surrounding the building and parking lot, curbs, entryways, alcoves, carports, benches, and concrete trash bins.

3. **Building and Waste Bin Enclosure Pressure Washing/Steam Cleaning**: Similar frequency as above with specific areas including paved surfaces adjacent to waste bin enclosures and exterior walls. The contractor must use their own water source and equipment for pressure washing.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on October 1, 2024 or upon contract approval and will last for thirty-six (36) months.

Services will be performed at the Reedley DMV Field Office located at 1890 East Dinuba Ave., Reedley, CA 93654.
