23NRW002 - Temporary Relief Nurse Registry

Background
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking proposals for a contractor to provide Temporary Relief Services for licensed Registered Nurses, License Vocational Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. The Veterans Home of California, West Los Angeles, is experiencing staffing challenges and requires Nurse Registry Services to substitute for staff on leave, vacation, and to cover vacant positions.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, insurance and personnel to provide temporary relief and permanent CNA services; assist the medical staff at the Los Angeles Home in providing medical care; and assure that appropriate clinical evaluations and documentation meet the requirements and standards set forth by Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations regarding community care licensing, Joint Commission, and the Department of Justice.

Period of Performance
The term of the agreement resulting from this RFP is anticipated to be from May 13, 2024 through May 12, 2027. Performance shall start no later than the expressed date set by the awarding agency and after all approvals have been obtained.

Place of Performance
The services are required at the Veterans Home of California - West Los Angeles.
