2025 Parking Lot Seal Coat & Striping Project

Background
The City of Morgan Hill’s Public Services Department is seeking bids from licensed contractors for the 2025 Parking Lot Seal Coat & Striping Project. This project aims to enhance the parking facilities at two city locations: the Morgan Hill Aquatics Center and the Centennial Recreation Center. The goal is to ensure that these facilities are well-maintained and accessible to the public, aligning with the city's commitment to providing quality services and infrastructure.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the application of seal coating and restriping at two locations:
1) Morgan Hill Aquatics Center at 16200 Condit Road
2) Centennial Recreation Center at 171 W. Edmundson Avenue.

Specific tasks include:
- Mobilization
- Seal coat application for approximately 61,000 square feet at Aquatics Center and 80,000 square feet at Centennial Recreation Center.
- Installation of various line markings including:
- 4” white parking space lines (totaling approximately 1,962 linear feet at Aquatics Center)
- ADA stencils (3’x3’ white on blue)
- Blue parking space lines for ADA compliance
- Hash markings for walkways
- Stencils for 'NO PARKING' and 'STOP'
- Crack sealing (100 linear feet)
- Traffic control measures during work hours.

Additional work may include supplemental tasks as authorized by the City, estimated at $5,000 per site.

Period of Performance
The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction is 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with completion of the Aquatics Center parking lot no later than May 16, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at two locations within Morgan Hill, California:
1) Morgan Hill Aquatics Center located at 16200 Condit Road
2) Centennial Recreation Center located at 171 W. Edmundson Avenue.
