10202251 Vegetation Management Services

Background
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) of the State of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) number 10202251 for vegetation management services. The goal of this contract is to support the management of DWR restoration properties in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The anticipated term of this agreement is three years, and the contractor will perform as-needed vegetation management activities as requested by DWR, with oversight provided by DWR or its designee.

Work Details
The Contractor will complete vegetation management and minor maintenance activities to support DWR restoration properties. Specific requirements include:

1) Possession of a Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) or Qualified Applicator License (QAL) issued by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation;
2) Possession of a Pest Control Aircraft Pilot Certificate (PCAPC);
3) Ability to manage integrated vegetation across approximately 3,000 acres;
4) Minimum five years of experience in integrated vegetation management;
5) Knowledge of native, non-native, and invasive plant species in the California San Francisco Estuary region;
6) Experience accessing properties via boat at low tides;
7) Experience applying integrated vegetation management approaches in wetlands and tidal areas.

Period of Performance
The anticipated start date for the agreement is July 2025, with a total duration of three years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, specifically detailed in Exhibit A and Attachment 1 – Bid Maps.
