Emergency Environmental Remediation & Restoration Services

Background
The City of Mesa Facilities Management Department is responsible for microbial and fire/flood damage remediation for various City facilities. The goal of this contract is to establish a non-exclusive, pre-qualified list of up to five firms to perform emergency environmental remediation and restoration services, ensuring 24-hour service availability at pre-established rates.

Work Details
The contractor will provide emergency environmental remediation and restoration services, including:

1. Microbial Remediation: Abatement/remediation of identified and suspected microbial growth due to moisture intrusion, including preparation of estimates, removal of damaged materials, decontamination, and proper disposal.

2. Asbestos Abatement: Coordination with the City for abatement of hazardous materials prior to renovations or demolition. Contractors must have appropriate training and accreditation.

3. Disaster Restoration Services: Ability to respond to water, fire, wind, and vandalism damage with timely assessments and clean-up operations. This includes maintaining certifications for inspection and restoration activities.

4. Equipment/Supplies: Provision of necessary equipment such as HEPA vacuums, air scrubbers, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety measures during remediation activities.

5. Reporting: Submission of abatement reports within two business days after project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027, with potential extensions up to six months at the City's discretion.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various City-owned facilities in Mesa, Arizona.
