Background
Arizona State University (ASU) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide data center colocation services to support the university’s evolving IT infrastructure, research, and operational needs. This initiative aims to enhance IT performance, optimize costs, reduce on-campus infrastructure dependencies, and improve disaster recovery capabilities. The selected provider will ensure a secure, scalable, and cost-effective colocation facility that complies with FISMA standards and industry best practices.

Work Details
The contract includes providing a FISMA-compliant colocation facility that offers high availability, robust connectivity, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry best practices. The facility must accommodate ASU's critical IT infrastructure with resilient power, cooling, security, and network connectivity while supporting future growth.

Specific requirements include:
- Approximately 3,500-4,500 square feet for 128 cabinets/racks (42U tall, 800mm wide, 1200mm deep) with proper clearance for maintenance.
- Initial power capacity of 1.5MW with a right of first refusal for an additional 1.5MW.
- Secure room or cage compliant with FISMA Moderate.
- Chilled water cooling system for ASU's Supercomputer.
- Infrastructure must provide Tier III or higher redundancy for power and cooling.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence following the award decision on May 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The colocation services must be provided within a defined proximity to ASU’s primary campus located at ASU Old Main Building, 400 E Tyler Mall, Tempe AZ 85281.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must demonstrate compliance with FISMA standards and provide evidence of their ability to meet the specified technical requirements. Proposals should include details about the company's history in providing similar services and any relevant certifications or audits related to data center operations.
