Softball and Baseball Field Lights and Controls Installation

Background
The City of Orange Beach, Alabama, is seeking bids for the installation of softball and baseball field lights and controls at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. The project aims to enhance the lighting capabilities of the sports fields to improve usability and safety for players and spectators. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, and equipment to complete the installation as specified.

Work Details
The contractor will install new Musco Sports Lighting LED field lights on existing concrete poles for Softball Field 1. Additionally, new controls will be installed on Softball Fields 1-5 and Baseball Fields 9-12. The scope includes retrofitting Baseball Fields 9-12 with new Musco Sports Lighting. Specific tasks include:

1. Accepting delivery and storing all new owner-furnished fixtures and components.
2. Demolishing existing crossarms and fixtures on Field 1.
3. Retrofitting Field 1 poles with Musco TLC LED fixtures, crossarms, and driver enclosures according to manufacturer instructions.
4. Grounding all poles as per lighting manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Testing the lighting system post-installation to ensure operational functionality.
6. Providing a one-year warranty on workmanship.
7. Installing Control Link Cabinets for Fields 1-5 and a remote switch box outside the Electrical Room.
8. Removing existing fixtures from poles on Fields 9-12 and installing new fixtures as specified.

Period of Performance
The contractor must commence work within ten (10) calendar days after receiving a Notice to Proceed, with all construction to be completed by May 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Orange Beach Sportsplex located at 4385 William Silvers Boulevard, Orange Beach, Alabama 36561.
