Clothing - ADMH Facilities

Background
The Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) is soliciting bids for clothing to be provided to various mental health facilities in the Tuscaloosa area. The purpose of this Request for Bids (RFB) is to establish a contract for the supply of clothing items that meet specific requirements, including durability for institutional laundering and a variety of colors. The ADMH operates under the authority granted by Alabama state laws and aims to ensure that all vendors comply with state regulations.

Work Details
The contract will cover the following clothing items:

1. Putter pants - Men's, full elastic waist, partially open fly.
2. Pants - Women's, casual, full or partial elastic waistband, pull-on or snap.
3. Jeans - Men's, full or partial elastic waistband, belt loops, pockets, brass zipper.
4. Jeans - Men's/Women's, relaxed fit, pockets.
5. Shirts - Men's/Women's, casual polo shirts (no tee shirts).
6. Jumpsuits - Men's/Women's, long-sleeved, stretchy with long zipper back open and loose elastic ankle.
7. Jumpsuits - Men's/Women's, short-sleeved, stretchy with long zipper back open and loose elastic ankle.
8. Sweatpants - No drawstring, elastic waistband and cuffs.
9. Sweatshirts - No drawstring, elastic waistband and cuffs.
10. Undergarments - Men's: boxers (solids and prints), briefs (white 100% cotton), undershirts (white crew neck).
11. Undergarments - Women's: briefs (white 100% cotton), bras (white), sports bras (pullover white).
12. Shoes (Athletic) - Men's & women's nylon Velcro joggers in black or white with suede/leather breathable nylon; slip-resistant Velcro sneakers with clear bottoms.
13. Socks - Men's/Women's ankle socks in white.

Period of Performance
The contract period is set for three years with options for two additional one-year extensions under the same terms and conditions.

Place of Performance
Delivery locations include:
- Bryce Hospital at 1651 Ruby Tyler Parkway, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404;
- Mary Starke Harper Geriatric Center at 200 University Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35403;
- Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility at 1301 Jack Warner Parkway NE, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered with the Alabama Secretary of State Office and participate in E-Verify if contracted with the State of Alabama. Vendors must submit an original bid along with three copies and ensure compliance with Alabama state tax laws as per Act No. 2006-557.
