Citywide Tree Removal Annual Contract

Background
The City of Fairhope, located in Baldwin County, Alabama, is seeking qualified contractors to provide tree removal services on public land, rights-of-way, and easements within its corporate limits. This contract aims to ensure the safe and efficient removal of trees as needed to maintain public safety and aesthetics.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supplies for tree removal and stump grinding. The work will be assigned on an 'as-needed' basis through Project Work Orders that may include single or multiple tasks. Specific services include:

1) Non-Emergency General Tree Service: Preventative and general tree removal and stump removal during daylight hours only.

2) Emergency General Tree Service: Immediate response required within one hour for emergency calls, with work commencing within 24 hours of notification.

3) Non-Emergency Tree Removal Service (Outside of General Scope): For trees exceeding the expertise of City crews or when they lack personnel/equipment. Pricing adjustments may apply for complex removals.

4) Traffic Control: Compliance with traffic control requirements during operations.

5) Site Cleanup: Immediate cleanup post-work including disposal of debris at the City landfill at no cost to the contractor.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will remain in effect for one year from that date, with potential extensions based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed within the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama.
