253501 - Radiation Equipment Calibration - Radiation

Background
The Alabama Department of Public Health is seeking to establish a contract for calibration services for various pieces of radiation equipment.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that the radiation equipment used by the department meets necessary safety and operational standards.

Work Details
The calibration services required include:
- Calibration of one (1) detector with 'As Found' readings.
- Calibration must include two (2) points per range, ensuring NIST traceability and compliance with ANSI N323 standards.
- If requested, two (2) efficiencies must also be provided.
- Routine battery contact cleaning where applicable.
- The awarded supplier must be accredited by A2LA under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 standards, and must attach their certificate of accreditation with their bid.
- The supplier must perform all calibrations without subcontracting and should describe their calibration process in detail.

Period of Performance
The contract will establish a 12-month period with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods, contingent upon mutual agreement between the State and the vendor.

Place of Performance
Calibration services will be performed at the location of the equipment, specifically at 208 Legends Court, Prattville, Alabama 36066.
