SUMMARY:
The State of Alaska, Department of Health, Division of Public Health, is soliciting proposals from qualified parties to provide leadership training statewide to Alaska family members who are primary caregivers of young children. This training will provide ongoing management, promotion, and implementation of the Family Engagement and Leadership (FELT) training program, a DPH-created tool that helps support families to become advocates and leaders.

Background
The State of Alaska, Department of Health, Division of Public Health is soliciting proposals for leadership training aimed at family members who are primary caregivers of young children. This initiative is part of the Family Engagement and Leadership Training (FELT) program, designed to empower families to become advocates and leaders within their communities.

The program addresses the need for training among family members involved in federally funded projects and non-profit agencies, ensuring they have the necessary skills to participate effectively in boards and committees.

Work Details
The contractor will provide ongoing management, promotion, and implementation of the FELT program. Key responsibilities include:
1. Ongoing outreach to encourage family participation in trainings.
2. Management of FELT training via the State's Learning Management System (Moodle).
3. Engagement with participants to ensure support during training and hosting connection opportunities.
4. Connecting graduates with advocacy opportunities post-training.
5. Providing a $50 gift card stipend to each graduate upon completion of the training.

Deliverables include creating an implementation timeline, recruiting at least 30 participants annually, managing online training, maintaining outreach materials, providing technical assistance to new registrants, and submitting quarterly and annual reports summarizing participation and recommendations for future implementation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence approximately on November 15, 2024, and will continue until December 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed statewide in Alaska.
